ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Trilha Gold Capital – TGC is an economic group managed by Trilha Investimentos e Participações Societárias LTDA. (CNPJ 37.502.079/0001-69), composed of companies in the metal mining segment. With branches in São Paulo, capital, and Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, the group has its main headquarters in the municipality of Cedro, Pernambuco, and comprises ten companies focused on mining projects and consulting in geology, geophysics, surveying and reserves calculation.
Trilha Gold Capital invests in research and exploration of its main asset in Brazil: gold. It was founded by Basel Ibrahim Al Jughami, a visionary who came to Brazil from Syria in 2014 and has always believed in a mining model based on respect for the environment, social responsibility and adoption of the highest standards of technology. The group has teams with strong expertise in the segment and important partners from the private and government sectors for their projects in the country.
The Serrita project will be carried out by the company Trilha Gold PE Mineração (CNPJ 39.666.313/0001-19), belonging to the TGC group. It was acquired at an advanced stage of mineral research, having already presented the Partial Research Report to the National Mining Agency.
A well-established commodity, gold remains the most sought-after commodity for investments, in addition to securing assets throughout the history of human culture. As an asset, precious metals secure the financial market and its currencies, which are the foundation of global growth in all economic sectors, from technology, healthcare, education, innovation, to aerospace research. These metals are also needed for the manufacture of communication and high-tech equipment, besides jewelry and various other applications.
CONCERN WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
One of the Trilha Gold Capital biggest concerns is researching and exploring without harming the environment. Through sustainable prospecting in line with current environmental regulations and legislation, TGC ensures that all activities are carried out in a way that causes the least possible environmental impact and, in return, result in development for the region. The mission, in addition to exploring areas of interest, is to promote environmental education programs for communities and raise awareness among the local population about the importance of preservation.
The greatest residual risks identified during the due diligence study, which require mitigation, can be categorized as environmental and social safety, which reflect a project’s risk profile, in which the technology, methodology and execution are well understood. The TGC group follows current industry practice with a well thought out and planned design, but challenged by remote location and other non-technical aspects. The company has plans to proactively mitigate these risks, seeking to act in the community by generating jobs, training and investing in small community projects, maintaining a close relationship with the community and with local leaders, whether civil, political or governmental.
To this end, robust safety plans were developed to guarantee the safety of the production and exportation of gold, promoting a friendly and disciplined relationship environment with employees and neighboring communities. Caring for the environment comes through the selection of chemical-free technologies. The production process is completely mechanical and does not rely on products such as mercury for the extraction (amalgamation) of freehold gold.
Currently, the Serrita project, which covers the municipalities of Serrita and Cedro, is already benefiting the central hinterland of the state of Pernambuco, promoting, on average, 50 direct jobs and more than 100 indirect ones, boosting the local economy.
With a bold and robust structure of 2,000m² of built area, modern and comfortable, the headquarters of Trilha Gold Capital is composed of accommodation, offices and laboratories, duly equipped. The company takes great pleasure in paying attention to every detail of the facilities, ensuring the comfort and safety of our collaborators and employees.
TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM
The Trilha has a body of qualified professionals, composed of highly qualified technicians, specialized in all areas of geology. And is pleased to report that approximately 60% of the technical team is made up of women.
With a comfortable installation, all employees and collaborators of Trilha Gold are properly housed in a large and comfortable space, ensuring the rest of the team in an environment that has all the necessary amenities, including a team of employees at their disposal, contracted in the region, for the internal domestic control of the accommodation.
Even though it is in an underdeveloped region, a laboratory was built, made up of the most modern equipment on the market, to guarantee the results of the studies carried out and the accuracy of the data produced by Trilha Gold. Valuing the safety of all employees, all the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and guidelines are ensured to avoid any type of accident, whether on the premises or in field work.
With a high-quality office, technicians can prepare their studies and reports in a comfortable and complete environment, with all the necessary tools available to achieve excellence in the development of their work.
THE SERRITA PROJECT
Consists of 4 areas, totaling approximately 7,000 hectares, within the state of Pernambuco. Located 591km from Recife, 118km from Juazeiro do Norte (regional airport), 51km from Salgueiro, about 15km from the municipality of Serrita and 8km from the city of Cedro, the access infrastructure to the site is through the highway that connects Recife to the municipalities cited above.
The areas refer to the National Mining Agency (ANM- in portugues) processes of numbers: (I) DNPM/ANM No. 48404.840320/2010-69, gold substance, with an area of 1,999.89 hectares in the municipalities of Serrita and Cedro, both in the state of Pernambuco and with permission to research published in the DOU (Official Diary of the Union) of 12/20/2010 and extension published in the DOU of 07/17/2018; (II) DNPM/ANM No. 48404.840247/2018-82, gold substance, with an area of 749.35 hectares in the municipalities of Serrita and Cedro, both in the state of Pernambuco and with research permission published in the DOU (Official Diary of the Union) of 07/10 2019; (III) DNPM/ANM No. 48404.840314/2010-10, gold substance, with an area of 1,997.95 hectares in the municipalities of Serrita and Cedro, both in the state of Pernambuco and with research permission published in the Official Gazette of 12/20/ 2010 and extension published in the DOU (Official Diary of the Union) of 07/17/2018; and DNPM/ANM No. 48404.840319/2010-34, gold substance, with an area of 2,000 hectares in the municipality of Serrita/PE and with research permission published in the DOU of 12/20/2010 and extension published in the DOU (Official Diary of the Union) of 17/07 /2018.
The infrastructure is favorable: close to the São Francisco River transposition channel, the Transnordestina Railway and federal highways, to larger urban centers (Salgueiro) and places with infrastructure (Serrita). The socio-environmental aspects are positive, being an opportunity to generate employment and income, in addition to local opportunities and because there are no relevant environmental impediments.
GEOLOGICAL MAPPING AND SAMPLING
The field work is mainly based on the detailed geological mapping of the areas, carried out by geologists who are equipped with the best tools available on the market. All studies and data are in the certification phase to guarantee the veracity of the information presented. Thereby, there is a strict quality standard for the collection of samples that are taken in the study areas and sent to renowned institutions for analysis such as Gorsex, Brastorno and UFBA.
With extremely experienced professionals, Trilha Gold operates with high-tech drilling equipment to corroborate studies of geological investigations of the terrain and therefore translate the genetic history of the region’s gold mineralization. The ongoing campaign, with 2,000m of drilling currently being carried out, is expected to performed two more phases with approximately another 4,000m of drilling, totaling 6,000m exclusively for the Serrita project. All reports are properly described, sampled and stored, in accordance with strict quality standards.
MINE OPERATION AND EXPLORATORY POTENTIAL
In an area of 2000 hectares, Trilha Gold has an estimated reserve of 1.5 million ounces of gold and an exploratory potential for an additional 3.5 million when the rest of the areas are included.
Based on advanced studies, the final research report of the 4 areas is already in the process of elaboration. In the implementation phase, the pilot plant is being prepared to be installed in the areas. By the end of 2021, the experimental plant, with an investment of US$3 million, will be installed and, shortly thereafter, a pilot plant with a capacity of 100tm/hour, capable of reaching a production of 50,000 ounces per year. In total, US$10 million will be invested.
Over a period of five years, the objective is to research other areas in the region with the aim of increasing the reserves to 5 million ounces of gold, reaching an area production capacity of 200 thousand ounces per year.
With the most recent technologies offered in the market, Trilha Gold is starting activities with UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) to reach areas of difficult access and collaborate with the work of geological mapping and infrastructure.
